Lovecraft Shoot for the Moon (Moo) - 19/12/14 - 1/11/16
D.O.B: 19/12/14
Parents: Lovecraft Malone x Isamu Davinchis Toad
Siblings; Lovecraft Earth Shine (here), Lovecraft Avanti, Echo, Rigmarole and Tivoli (at Lovecraft) and Lovecraft Renegade
Offspring; The Zamoo litter at 10 months: Isamu Summer Daze (here), Isamu Autumn Glow (here) and 9 siblings with other people.
Variety: Agouti Dumbo
Temperament: Moo was a lovely silly licky girl. She is one of those rats that you meet and cant help but love. She very much took after her name sake Mu in that she believed the world revolved around her and had the ability to really get and keep your attention (in your face isn't just a phrase with her). There's was an awful lot of personality trapped in her petite body and this can lead to her being a bit too big for her boots on occasion.
Story: Moo is one of my first does for a number of years, she comes from a litter which is a really special combination of Lovecraft and Isamu lines. It represents two of the best rats we’ve both bred and the entire litter was so special me and Lisa kept them all between us. Her name links back to her Grandma Isamu Honeymoon, who is a particularly special rat to both me and Lisa. Her name is very much representative of the joy these special girls bring. It also ties to her mum, as the writer of the song “shoot for the moon” was names Joseph Malone.
Health: Moo was a wonderfully healthy girl, though thanks to Jazz she had a small tear in one ear (adds to her character). In old age Moo developed odd grumpy behaviour and a thinning coat on her underside. A spay did not resolve, nor steroid treatment in case it was neurological. She continued alternating between happy and grumpy before showing some abdominal discomfort which was not resolvable. On PM she had an inflamed bowel but no obvious cause.
Show Performance:
Moo did well at shows as a youngster, before deciding to tear her ear on another rats teeth ending her varieties showing career then taking a dislike to show tanks and so ending her pets showing career, some of the highlights were;
*Best opposite age
*4th Supreme Challenge
*Best Dumbo and AOV dumbo.
*5th Supreme Pet Challenge

Lovecraft Earthshine (Shine) - 19/12/14 - 14/03/16
D.O.B: 19/12/14
Parents: Lovecraft Malone x Isamu Davinchi’s Toad
Siblings; Lovecraft Shoot for the Moon (here), Lovecraft Avanti, Echo, Rigmarole and Tivoli (at Lovecraft) and Lovecraft Renegade
Offspring; The Shocky litter at 11 months: Isamu Fusion (here), Isamu Brody, Isamu Tamadu
Variety: Black top eared
Temperament: Shine was a lovely (shiny) bold girl. She was the type of rat that’s always first to come out and see you and has stood out from very early days in what was a very special litter. She was always very affectionate in the cage, but once out has to explore everything first. Shine was very active and happy go lucky, a very safe trustworthy girl with other rats too.
Story: Shine was one of my first does for a number of years, she came from a litter which was a really special combination of Lovecraft and Isamu lines. It represents two of the best rats we’ve both bred and the entire litter was so special me and Lisa kept them all between us. Her name also links back to her Grandma Isamu Honeymoon.. Her name refers to the dark bit of the moon you can just see when there’s a half moon, its caused by the suns light reflecting from the earth back onto the moon. It also links back to her dad, as Davinchi was the discoverer of the phenomenon.
Show Performance: Shine did very well at shows, though often hampered by her being somewhere between a silvered black and black. Her highlights were
*Reserve best in show (3 times)
*Best Self (several times)
*Best Black (several times)
*Best Silvered
*Varieties Kidnapped (the judges fave rat)
* Reserve best pet
* best agility
Health: Shine suffered from acute kidney infection at roughly one year old, despite being the sickest rat I've had for a long while she pulled through and recovered with antibiotics and lots of support. A few months afterwards, after displaying a bloated abdomen and bloody urine, first an X-ray then an exploratory operation found a large inoperable mass in her abdomen and I made the difficult decision to let her go whilst under.
She shone brightly but was taken far too soon.
