Halcyon Fiskally
Origin: A retired breeding doe from Halcyon,
Variety: Black Temperament: Skally is a really sweet soul, who is also a little shy and reserved with new people and situations. When she settles she is so gentle and inquisitive it is really sweet to see. The longer she spends her the more of her lovely personality is coming through. Story: Skally came her with Jazz to help bring balance to my new girl group with some older rats. She is a retired breeding doe from Halcyon and had 2 lovely litters there. When she first came her she was quite shaken up and scared of alll the changes, but with time, and especially the addition of Toad to the group, she has settled and really found her feet. Her and toad are very fond of each other and can often be found curled up together. Health: Skally had a long healthy life, until getting a mammary lump when she was 20 months, this was removed successfully and she was spayed. She lived to 26 months until an abdominal mass meant she had to be put to sleep. Show Performance: As a youngster Skally won NFRS silver variety champion. Status: Pet doe |
Rivendell Vajazzel - Jazz
Origin: A retired breeding doe from Halcyon, bred by Rivendell
Variety: Agouti Essex Temperament: Jazz was a bold confident lady who knows her own mind. She was rather put out that first Toad and then Moo kicked her out of the top spot but has since taken to mid pack life graciously (though Moo bears the scars). She was very happy go lucky and likes to explore and trot around the rat room whilst happily visiting me too. Story: Jazz came to me with her cage mate Skally from Halcyon rats where she had 2 lovely litters, in fact her latest kittens went to there new homes the day she came to live with me. They came here to act as a nice stable adult presence for the youngsters, so it was a surprise when Moo immediately challenged her for alpha. She has settled in well with me and was very much an important part of the group. Health: Sadly at a relatively young age she developed a rare osteosarcoma, this is a bone tumour which was sadly inoperable as it was on the spine. I put her to sleep when it was clear it was bothering her. Show Performance: Before she came to me she did win pets once, since coming here her highlights were; * 1st and 4th Agility challenge * Best Essex |
