Astreaus - Eximius Dawn of the Stars 23/04/11 - 28/01/13

Variety: Silvered black dumbo

Astreaus was a really lovely boy, another black dumbo clown rat very much like his Uncle Yoshi.  We had a great relationship and he was a really sturdy good Alpha after I lost his cousin Thom.

He came to me as one of my first potential Dads along with Thom, his Mum was Lo, the mum of the first Eximius litter.  He was small at first but grew into a lovely solid lad, though he never got to father a litter.  In part due to him being not great type wise (with slightly gremlin ears) and his occasional shyness. He was named after one of my all time favourite rats of Lloyd's (at Eximius) Astra.

I lost Astreaus after noticing slight oddness, followed by his bladder becoming blocked suddenly.  Over 3 days we tried several things to fix it, only for him to pass away when it failed him.  A PM revealed a prostrate tumour wrapped around his urethra.

SCh ACh Thom - Shunamite Memories of Gold 23/04/12 - 08/07/12

Variety: Agouti Dumbo

Thom came to me as one of my first potential dads, he also came to me as my first Shunamite buck and was long awaited.  He is named after a particular Shunamite buck named Tom's Gold, who first won me over to Tabi rats, as well as his dad Tom. It was love at first sight between us and he was firmly settled as a true heart rat.  Thom was a very settled people orientated rat who has really clicked with me, showing that real intensity in his attention which just sums up what i love about Tabi rats.

He was a  good cage alpha and was lucky enough to father two litters, one Tabi litter with the wonderful Lo here at Isamu and another for Honeyduke rats with the beautiful Stella.  He managed both Stud buck champion and Agility champion in his short life.

Thom was cruelly taken from us at a young age from a sudden bout of pneumonia completely out of the blue and he was one of the healthiest rats I've owned.
