Toad - Isamu Davinchi's Toad - 05/09/13 - 09/09/15
Parents: Isamu Honeymoon x Isamu Katame
Variety: Agouti Temperament: Toad is a really special buck, he manages to have the steady solid temperament which makes a rat bomb proof whilst being able to really engage and love his people. He isn't an in your face overly exuberant rat, but when he gives you his attention its in such and intense and serious way you feel really honoured Story: Toad was my keeper boy from my third Isamu litter, and definitely the best buck I've bred both physically and in temperament. He has made an impression on many people and is special enough the he has fathered 3 litters for 3 different ratteries. Toad briefly went to live with his boy group over at Lovecraft, however as well as me missing him he clearly missed me and became withdrawn and grumpy. We took the decision to neuter him so he could move back here with my girls and after attempting to reopen his wound he healed up and was very happy with his ladies. Health Generally Toad was a healthy rat, though he was prone to abscesses. Sadly shortly before he got to move in with his grandchildren Toad.started with a Zymbals gland tumour, the decision was made to put to sleep when it began bothering him. Show Performance: Toad won stud buck several times and is a NERS stud buck champion. He best pet twice at the grand age of 22 months and so became a NERS Grand Champion. He also managed to achieve the NFRS silver pet champion status. |
Weevil - Isamu Fear No Weevil - 05/09/13 - 22/07/14
Parents: Isamu Honeymoon x Isamu Katame
Variety: Agouti Temperament: Weevil was a lovely playful boy, he was slightly shy of new people and places but very attached to his human. Story: Weevil was from my third litter here at Isamu. He gained his name after my husband named all the kittens with random animal names. His name very much stuck, especially with his rather long narrow nose. Weevil had an unfortunate accident at 9 months old. On the way to a show he fell and injured his arm badly. On X-ray it was apparently that the bone was shattered and the only reason why he wasn't in pain was that the nerves had been torn in the process. After discussing with the vet we decided that an amputation of the front arm would affect his quality of life too much so he was put to sleep. Show Performance: Weevil did well in the shows he attended, impressing once in pets and doing surprisingly well as a young buck in varieties. Health: Weevil had one preputail abscess prior to his accident but was otherwise a very healthy lad |
